Park West Schools

Park West is served by one of the finest public school districts in the state of South Carolina, Charleston County School District.

One of the unique aspects of Park West is the on-premises Educational Campus, which consists of the Laurel Hill Primary, Charles Pinckney Elementary and Cario Middle Schools. Children living in Park West can attend school without ever leaving the Park West grounds.

The Educational Campus of Park West is located on 100 acres of beautifully landscaped property surrounded by wetlands and woodlands. The Charles Pickney Elementary and Cario Middle Schools were both built in the year 2000 and are equipped with the latest state-of-art equipment in the computer lab, science lab and outdoor athlectic fields. The Laurel Hill Primary School opened in 2006. Pictured below are two perspectives of the Laurel Hill Primary School. Grades K-2 attend Laurel Hill, grades 3-5 attend Pickney Elementary, and Grades 6-8 attend Cario Middle.

Pictured below is the new Mount Pleasant (Wando) High School, which opened in 2004 and is located on property next door to Park West, and can be accessed from Park West via a newly constructed connecting road which allows residents of Park West to avoid travel of Highway 17.

Additionally, continuing adult education is readily available from the College of Charleston and several other institutions of higher learning within an hour's drive.
